The Capacity-building Workshop to Support National Policy Responses to Issues of Ageing in Asia and the Pacific, jointly organized by UNDESA and ESCAP, was held from 28 February to 1 March 2012 in the United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok. The Workshop was attended by Government representatives, civil society representatives and international organizations from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Viet Nam, HelpAge International, UNFPA and WHO.
